"Beautiful, traditional pub with open fire area. Friendly and helpful staff. Good local walks which The Crown have helpfully provided maps for. Lovely quiet spot - great location for exploring other nearby towns and popular Cotswolds destinations. Extremely Covid aware, following all recommended guidelines without being overbearing. A wonderful stay and we hope to return."

"Found by chance and so glad we did! Super food and great service. The menu is small which I find much better as it's easy to choose something!! The homemade pie (chicken, bacon and mushroom) was very tasty and the vegetables were cooked perfectly! Highly recommended."

"The staff were ALL great. Really friendly, welcoming and approachable. You can tell they are a really great team! The food and drink was amazing. The pub/restaurant/garden areas are all really lovely and relaxing. We stayed in the superior twin room with the pale blue bathroom and it was SO NICE. We would definitely come back again and recommend to ANYONE as we can’t fault a single thing."

"Excellent overnight stay here. We stayed in the Lidstone room which was exceptional. Beautifully styled, spotlessly clean and very high end feeling. The bed was really comfy. The location was perfect for us, in a gorgeous quiet village which made for fab views out of the windows! Breakfast was delicious, gutted we missed out on Sunday dinner (as it finished at 3pm) as I’m sure it would have been delicious too. All the staff were very helpful and friendly."

"In a COVID safe environment and staff who were attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, we enjoyed some excellent food; mainly locally sourced and cooked to perfection. We tried the braised and confit duck; which was outstanding, and the organic beef. It was hard to fault any aspect of the meal, with a good wine selection, Hook Norton ales, I would highly recommend this restaurant/pub even if it’s a bit off the beaten track, well worth the visit."
